DESCRIPTION
+
A pair of wall sconces in chiselled and gilded bronze with two arms,
marked with a crowned ‘C’, a hallmark in use between 1745 and 1749.
They are executed in the Rococo style and feature a lavish decoration of curling foliage, small flowers and volutes characteristic of the Louis XV style.
Each wall lamp is adorned with finely chiselled roses running along the base, and the arms of the lamp bloom out in the form of tendrils.
