A piece from the transition period between the Louis XV and Louis XVI eras, attributed to André-Louis Gilbert, who was admitted as a Master on 20 July 1774
A small drum-shaped chiffonnière table decorated with scenes of lakeside landscapes and classical motifs, crafted from stained wood framed with amaranth. It opens via a belt-style door, revealing a small plaque of turquoise-blue marble. It rests on three curved legs ending in bronze feet and joined by a crossbar surrounded by a gilt-bronze moulding decorated with a landscape motif.
Its top, made of maroquin leather gilded with fine engraving and framed in rosewood, is surrounded by a gilt-bronze moulding.
