Its domed lid is inlaid with violette wood in a standing-grain pattern, featuring quadrilobe-patterned fillets and spandrels, and is hinged with engraved bronze hinges adorned with fleur-de-lis motifs. It reveals an interior inlaid with violette wood and interlaced fillets. It also opens at the front via a flap inlaid with burl wood in a vertical grain, revealing two drawers inlaid with burl wood. All sides are inlaid with burl wood in a vertical grain. This piece stands out for the quality of its wood and the finesse of the engraving on the bronze fittings.
